synopsis

Mareike, a high school student with a few extra pounds, wants to become a model. Nothing will stand in her way. Fixated on her body and discouraged by her mother, Mareike finds a part-time job and a boy whom she tries to impress by taking lessons in belly dancing. The boy is not interested, but the dancing gives her new zest for life. Then, a new challenge presents itself when her hair starts to fall out as a result of an immune disorder.
